About Robert Devine DO

Education / Work history

Dr. Devine’s original career was in information technology as a computer programmer, hardware salvage specialist, freelance IT consultant, and web developer. He received several degrees in IT before deciding to train to be an Osteopathic Physician at Midwestern University.

After graduating from MWU in 2011, he went on to complete an Osteopathic Family Medicine residency at Florida Hospital East Orlando. He also moonlit at an urgent care in Orlando while in training. He was board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment in August of 2014.

His first position out of residency was at Paseo Primary Care, which is a private practice located in Glendale Arizona. After two years of building a practice and gaining experience in the field, he decided to fulfill his lifelong dream of teaching. He accepted a full time position at his alma mater, Midwestern University in Glendale as a Family Physician at the Multi-specialty clinic and Clinical Assistant Professor teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine as well as Family Medicine to Medical Students.

After over three years as a professor and family physician at Midwestern University, Dr. Devine decided to spend a year practicing family medicine in New Zealand. This twelve month assignment will span from Summer 2020 to Summer 2021.

Biographical information

Dr. Devine is a native Arizonan, He enjoys the outdoors including hiking, camping, and mountain biking. He still enjoys computers and tinkers in electrical engineering.
